E Komo Mai!

Aloha...

Figured I should go ahead and write up a posting and explain a little bit about me. My nickname is Jungle Jes, from which you can make your own assumptions as to why, but lets just say i like things on the wild side.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area of Northern California. I then got a job working on cruise ships and was stationed out in the Hawaiian islands for over 2 years. You could say the culture rubbed off on me, but that would be an understatement... I loved it there so much. But unfortunately I had to move back to Cali and now live up in Nor Cal above Sacramento.

I am a Polynesian dancer here in Sacramento for Aloha Polynesia! and just this past tuesday (5/22/2012) I received my Hawaiian name which is Poulihapa, meaning half eclipse, in honor of the annular eclipse that happened last weekend.

This blog is to document my amazing adventures that I have experienced while traveling in the United States, Australia, Indonesia and New Zealand (with more places to come in the future I hope). But I will also be adding a little Island flair here and there. Mahalo for checking me out... and join me on this wild ride called life.
